by Gordon Snidow

Size: 14 1/4" X 22"
$175.00
SOLD OUT
After the horse herd has been brought in, one man is sent in to
catch each horse to be used for that days work. This way the herd is not
spooked. After some experience at being caught, the horses can tell when
they have been singled out by the catch-hand to be caught. The target
horse will get as many horses between him and the catch-hand as possible.
He will duck and buck, use any trick to keep from being roped. In
this painting the sorrel at the far side of the horse herd is the chosen one, he
is “EYEING THE CATCH-HAND”.
